There's more to life than being really really really good looking, isn't there?
Not if this is anything to go by.Ben Stiller ("Meet The Parents") returns to the directors chair, and comedy in this savage critique satire of the male Model fashion industry.
With star turns and Cameo's a plenty, he plays Derek Zoolander , the ultimate male model, the face of a generation; when he's not dating supermodels or strutting the catwalk, he's hanging out in exclusive apartments. But when the mysterious fashion guru Mugatu (Will Ferell) turns up, and suddenly things start to go wrong, and before you can say Conspiracy! David Duchovny (X-Files) has turned up as a wacko, revealing it all to be a sinister plot to control the world using male models as trained assasins. Insanely enough, he might even be right.
"Zoolander" turns into a lampooning and entertaining satire,a comedy that whilst it misses the funny bone as often as it hits, is still funnier than most.. But with visual jokes and oneliners a plenty, and when you've this many jokes a minute, there's no need to complain. Much like the under-appreciated "Josie and the Pussycats" this is one film that's not worth missing out on.
On DVD its got lots of really really good looking stuff stuff too.
