If you saw American Pie One, then you know exactly what to
expect. More of the same.

Did we pass the audition for the boyband then?"
With some jokes reproduced identically as to first time around. Set a year down the line after their first year at college, the same gang of goofy, socially inept teenage reprobates meet up again over the summer, and are doing their best to once again get laid / get drunk/ get wasted. But such repetition must have gone down well, with audiences: in England it's had the highest weekend opening figure all year.

"It's quite simple son. Dumb down, make shit movies, and get great box office!"
Of course, with American Pie you don't expect rocket science, and that's exactly what you don't get. Where in the first one Stifler drank his seminal fluid, this time he imbibes urine at a party... you get the picture. And that's a highpoint of this film's cerebralness, unfortunately. Then there's the lipstick lesbians sequence, with its blatant homophobia; the nuttiness of Michelle, and a sequence involving spastic children which is truly offensive, and hinges around trumpets and how funny it is to stick one up yer arse.
But really it boils down to how you like your comedy: do you like it crude, gross or loud? If not, then "A.I." is next screen along, ask for something else when you go to the movieplex. If so, then this is for you; and then this one time, at band camp....

No, You don't get to see where she put the flute this time either...
The DVD at least represents good value: a making of featurette, outtakes and 4 commentaries. But to be honest, This is a film that hardly deserves 1 commentary, let alone 4!
