Somebody Told Me It Sounded Like A Different Band

Go:Audio are clearly a product of the time. In this day and age, they are enthusiastic, keen, blessed with a keen visual style, but .. that isn't quite enough. I bet they'd be great live. The album sounds as if it needs a few more classic songs written in it : Joe Strummer was of the belief that every second on record, every moment on stage, every ounce of life lived was improtant and vital, and you better not waste time, or effort. because people are listening, and its their time you're on.

This album has some great songs, some forgettable songs, and some good songs. Ultimately, it sounds to me as if it needs a few more stunning songs written before it would be an irresistable temptation. The opening track, and "She Left Me" show a compelling wit and insight that the rest of the album needs more of : a reason to go back and listen again and again and again, that mysterious X factor that makes a good band great. Go:Audio are almost there.
